Students will learn how to detect and respond to attacks and compromises while keeping the network operational to the extent possible. Topics covered include self-assessment through vulnerability and penetration testing, using firewalls and intrusion detection and prevention systems to monitor network traffic and system activity; and an introduction to established processes for cyber forensics and attribution, incident response, and recovery.
